Design

Justice Systems Corporation helps its partners thoroughly define their needed systems early in the design phase.

We believe in letting form follow function -- focusing on operations first. We help users visualize design with attention to human engineering. Your line staff must live on a daily basis with this design, and helping users in this way will minimize subsequent changes.

Visualization tools include:
  • touring other facilities & attending trade shows
  • seeing equipment demonstrations
  • 3-D renderings & mockups of systems

To ensure long-term success we incorporate the maintenance staff's input in the design.

Maintenance factors include:

  • useing life-cycle-cost decisions
  • designing to accommodate moves and changes
  • developing and using preventative maintenance
  • requiring low-voltage maintenance expertise

We fully engineer all systems prior to bidding. Construction and long-term maintenance success depend on how well CD phase design is performed.

Elements of "fully engineered" designs include:

  • logic descriptions or diagrams (relay-, PLC-, or PC-based)
  • operator interface details (panel faces or touchscreen layouts)
  • mounting details
  • installation standards
  • conduits & cables and conduit & cable routing
  • field device runs
  • site duct banks & risers
  • equipment spaces
  • enlarged room plans
  • cabinet & rack interior elevations
